Who's broken?

Someone described my blogging recently as being open and broken.  This struck a chord in me.  Open?  Yes.  Honest and raw to the core, unfiltered?  Most definitely yes...  Broken?  Hmm...  No.   This word isn't working for me...  I don't think that is how I would describe my blog.  Or myself.  I think a more apt descriptive word  is "human".

One of those truths I've come to really know over this past year is there is always a choice in how we color our view: of ourselves, of our loved ones, of our lives.  And in those traits of ourselves we don't much care for?  Our weaknesses, our character flaws? There is a choice to be made if you want to continue to reach the apex of your personal growth.  You can choose to accept your flaws and embrace them as making up the sum of YOU, or you can choose to change.

This past year, I've done a lot of accepting. :o)  And now I show those weakest parts of myself because I've learned that through these cracks in my armor the greatest amount of light shines through.   I believe that life is all about letting your light shine as brightly as you can.  If you are fortunate, your light will illuminate the paths of others along your journey.  Blogging is a vehicle I use to reach others and help light their path.

Won't you let your light shine too?
