Tonight Bella got an impromptu invite for a sleepover and I took advantage of the opportunity to have some one-on-one time with my favorite sophomore boy. We went out to supper at Taj Mahal and both agreed its been TOO long since we've had yummy Indian food! Isaac regaled me with school doings and college prep planning and threw in a few barbs about how awesome he is getting at weight lifting. Unfortunately, this reminded him of an earlier bet on who could could lift more in a single lift competition. After topping out at 260 lbs squatting this week, I can safely say he's the winner and I had to pay out for pop all night, curses batman!!!
Then a quick drive for dessert at Culvers (thank you free kid scoop coupons!) We topped off the night at the movie theater, seeing Deadpool. I found it hilariously irreverent (but probaby inappropriate, so yes I earned a parent bad mark tonight). I even managed to bribe Isaac for a selfie-with-a-smile-showing-teeth!!! (only cost me 2 hours of extra internet time, parent bad mark 2 tonight, DOH!)
I sure love this young man, it was the best date I've had in months! :o)
