While Bella was busy this weekend crafting with polymer clay, I finally took a break from settling into the new house (and new projects) to catch up on some of my back-list of "good ideas I'll get to when I have time". I really felt like dusting off my sewing machine, but wasn't really committed to the time commitment of any REAL projects. So instead, I decided it was time to take the advice of this wonderful article I read and finally address all my button up blouses!
While I'm not large up top, I do like to dress up for work and have a plethora of nice button up shirts that apparently are designed for women without muscles or shoulders or boobs. Since I have at least 2 of these 3, I have constantly been plagued with the dreaded peek-a-boo front.
NO MORE FREE VIEWING I SAY!!!
After a quick trip to JoAnns (no worries, we were there twice on the polymer clay craftathon...sheesh). I got myself some nice clear thread as I was too lazy to match up thread color to each blouse. A 2" straight stitch per blouse and about an hour later (mostly because I had to keep helping a teenager with her clay project), all 10 of my button-up shirts have been repaired!
HOORAY!
Yes, yes.... I promise my next post will be on the new house :o)
