House makeover Friday!

Finishing up my last few must-do things to the house and it seems Friday is my go-to day to get it done!  Had a guy in this morning to measure main stairs with plan to replace carpetting there in next two weeks.  After thirteen years and 2 messy dogs and 2 messy kids, that nastiness needs to go!

House errand two was delivery of a loveseat for basement, as the family room was barren after the great furniture divide.  Here's a shot of the sofa, still working on finalizing that room and will do another post when complete.  Zipper seems to like the couch though!

This afternoon I had my first plumber visit to address a leaking outside spigot as well as a faulty shut off valve in the main floor half bath.  It was $250 worth of piece of mind to know I wouldn't be coming home to a flooded house someday!

Last but not least, I've got some curb appeal things I'm addressing out front that have always annoyed me.  First (and easiest) on that list, is replacing the outdated gold house numbers on front with some classic black ones, done all by myself!  Go me!  Next up? Ditching those hideous outdoor lights!
