One of the lessons I've taken to heart over this past year is learning how to reward myself in healthy ways for my weight loss successes. As I've spent much of my adult life rewarding/coping with food, this was an essential skill to master. I thought I'd spend a few minutes and capture some of the things I now use as rewards and motivators.
new clothes: This doesn't just include a new wardrobe as you shrink in size, although that is somewhat of a necessity. I also include as a motivator new workout clothes that make you feel HOT while keeping you COOL. And yes I believe they do exist! Some of my favorites, in no specific order:
Moving Comfort (they make serious sports bras and I've gotten some cute running skirts and shorts here).
Athleta (running gear, yoga gear, you name it, they've got it!)
SkirtSports (name says it all)
Underarmour (use this for the winter gear but I have several cute women cut tanks for summer from them as well)
Sugoi Versa Running Jacket (best engineered running jacket EVER)
new workouts: Mixing up the workouts is a definite must. Running is my standard go-to, but I throw in other activities to keep working out fun and fresh. This has included: dance dvds, heat yoga classes, Zumba, meditation dvds, meeting a friend for weight lifting lessons at the REC. On my bucket list in the next 12 months? Tennis lessons and a Burlesque Girls Night Out party (ladies, let me know if you are interested in this one!!!)
new workout music: Last but not least? A rotating music play list that makes you want to MOVE IT. I allocate $10/month of my budget to buying a few new songs to incorporate to the running playlist. Here's a shot of my current list, with song name/singer. If you don't like songs about sex, this playlist is NOT for you!

I love your playlist! I haven't played tennis in a long time, but I'd play some with you!
